More treats I made.

I just completed my second Wilton course and have loved it. I have been practicing and practicing. Here are some pictures of stuff I have done. I am taking a break from the classes until fall, when I will take course three. I am sorry about all the food posts, I just get really excited about baking.

This is just a cupcake I made out of left over cake batter. The stars are fondant.

This was my final cake for the last class of Wilton course 2. I did the flowers out of royal icing the night before and let them harden. Then I practiced the basket weave technique.

Basket weave up close.

Cupcakes again
This is a cake I made for my Step Mom's 70th Birthday party, it is not from my cake class.
More stuff I made for the party. I tried a whip cream frosting recipe out. It turned out really good.
Baseball cupcakes I made for Ethan's little league party. the bat and ball are royal icing.
Butterfly cupcakes I made for my nieces Birthday. I made up the butterflies by using techniques I learned in class. They are also made of royal icing that I piped out in the form of the butterflies.
I made these cupcakes for our ward bbq. They are grills with hot dogs, chicken, and kabobs on them. This idea came from Family Fun Magazine I was reading in the dentist office.
I made these for Chad's home teaching families. I made a edible bowl from cookie dough to put the strawberries in.

Ethan had a field trip to This Is The Place Monument in Salt Lake City. It is a monument dedicated to the pioneers who first came to Utah. The kids learned about life back then and got to participate in many activities involving pioneer tasks and games. I asked Ethan what he liked most about the trip and he said the school bus ride, "Because he did not have to wear a seatbelt".

treats I made for the baptism

Loving grass in the backyard!!!

We put in some sod Friday. It is so nice to have grass not dirt in our backyard. Loving it!!! We only did half the yard, because we still need to extend the rock wall on the second half and then we will put sod in. This is the money draining reason we will not have a family vacation this year.
We got the almost dead grass for free from some of our neighboors who had sod left over. Hopefully it comes back to life. Right now it just makes our yard more colorful with brown, yellow and green grass.

Ethan's baptism

Today Ethan got baptized. It was a great day. Chad's parents came all the way from Arkansas to support Ethan. My Dad and Tami were not able to make it, because my neice Heidi was getting baptized the same day. Steph and Chelsea and friends from our ward were able to come.
